I need advice on filling some small holes in my cork. I have some powdered cork (that wine was delicious!) but don’t know what to mix with it to fill the holes. Gimme your best, rod builders.

You can mix Elmer's (for wood) with your "shaved" cork which works fine or use a cork repair product specifically made for the purpose. I have some if you want to try. I actually like "shave and glue" technique. Just make sure shavings are small to just above dust. Also, be liberal with the application and then sand down. Do not over work the mixture, it gets " clunky".
Mike,
Found this which supports Dennis's suggestion. I would think it best to use the waterproof versions of Elmer's type wood glues. I remember epoxy being used in rod building to join the grip and the blank so that may be an option too. Don't know if the PVA glue or epoxy would be easiest to sand.

I would be concerned that epoxy would be hard to work with, difficult to sand and take away the features that make cork handles so comfortable to use. Epoxy is perfect for securing the handle ect.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm building a garden bench right now and Elmers and I are intimate - in a woodworking sense of course!
