A very old fly
Many years ago, Paul Fournier and I were at a rest stop selling coffee and muffins for the club. Paul developed a squid pattern that Spirt River excepted for production. I developed an easy Damsel fly which Spirt River accepted.

Damsel fly Nymph
Hook: 2x to 3x long nymph hook, sizes 10 to 6
Thread: Olive 8/0 or 6/0
Eyes 2-5 mm dumbbell eyes or beads as in the picture (when using beads add lead to the thorax)
Tail and abdomen: Olive or Gold Tan Marabou and a piece of gold holographic tinsel
Wing Case: Thin Skin
Thorax: Olive or Gold Tan Hare’s-ear dubbing
Legs: Brown Partridge feather
Feel free to tie this fly in different color to match nymphs in your local lakes, ponds and streams.
