This is not a difficult fly to tie but it is messy, and it easy to over dress the fly. I have used this fly for Pink Salmon and Coho Salmon in the rivers and the salt. Fishing this fly in the salt you want to find a little current to make the fly dance. An Eight weight rod or Spey rod is need to cast the fly. This fly is tied on a shank with a stinger hook. It can be tied on a 3x long 2/0 hook, just be careful not to use a lot of material.
