Polychaetes
Polychaetes are segmented saltwater worms, generally less than 10 cm (4 in) in length, although ranging at the extremes from 0.04 in to 10 ft. They can sometimes be brightly colored, and may be iridescent or even luminescent. Each segment bears a pair of paddle-like; which are used for movement.
I have tied Polychaetes for more than 15 years, using rabbit strips, chenille, and other products. Every so often a new product will hit the market which will make the fly look more like the real one. The colors of a Polychaetes very from pink, orange, rust, brown and green. The rust and pink colors have worked the best for me. They are a very active swimmer and can swim fast for their size. When fishing them try to make them move all around and quickly. Three to four inches is easier to cast. This fly is 2 1/2 inches long.
Made with Predator9 worm chenille and is wrapped around 30lb braid.

30lb braid is very cleaver. I have some 150lb downrigger braid. Maybe overkill :)
