I wanted to follow up the top fly from this year’s trip. It fooled smallies, largemouth, perch, bluegill, and a trout. You will find it at the top of my trip flies in the first photo. I decided to reimagine the fly even more as I refill my box. I’d be happy share how it is tied up. The original is like a size 6 or 8 with standard gap and I decided to go up to size 2 with wide gap for those large mouths I also find tipping the rabbit strips with a marker gives a nice highlight as with the little bit of grizzly hackle for the face .
