Do I need a 7wt...
Getting pretty jazzed up for my first fishing trip to the Yakima in more than 25 years. I have (2) 5wt rods that I'm taking; one for light nymphing and one for sub surface soft hackles/dries. I'm wondering if I should be looking at a 7wt. for heavier nymphs like stones...

I doubt you need it. Most of the fish in the Yak are less than 16". Once in a great while you might hook up with a 20" fish and you can handle that easily on a 5 wt.
