Rather than join the masses fishing the lakes opener today, our galant crew of trash-pickers showed up at Purdy to pick up trash, eat Tess' homemade oatmeal cookies and compare fishing lies. Just a couple of hours produced a pretty good pile of plastic bits, beer cans, sleeping bags, old signs ... etc. We can brag that we did not meet the poundage from last year's cleanup — and I'm hoping that is a good sign of progress. Thank you for your service, volunteers!
