Well, so far on the trip, the Metolius was a bust. Partially because of balance and knee issues. I didn't feel comfortable getting to the water where I saw fish rising. I did see a rainbow flash when my streamer hit the water.

Loved our deck, though!

Next we moved to Bend.

Did a little sightseeing on our first full day. Watched the last river raft trip go down from Big Eddy.

Made it up to the Crooked midday on Tuesday. Stopped by The Patient Angler to get some of the micro Ouros indicators. The owner suggested a split wing PMD nymph, so I grabbed a couple. He suggested an 18 or 20, but my eyes said 16!

They worked!

The fish weren't huge. The biggest was a 12" plus a 10". Most were around 6". They were all fun on my 8'-6" 3 wt, though! Went about 8 for 12 in about 2 hours of fishing at the Big Bend access.

Went back and got a couple more of those flies, too!

The next plan, probably Thursday, is to go fish the Fall river.
