I'm going to make a stab at the purported brown trout stockers up there tomorrow. I think I can slide my frameless down to the "gear fisher" access next to the highway.

That little creek is Millridge Creek. It flows into the Clear Fork of the Cowlitz. That joins the Ohanapecosh River to form the main stem of the Cowlitz right in the La Wis Wis campground.
I also saw reports that you can catch brown trout in the Cowlitz. Now I think I know where those might be coming from!
Guess I'll have to try La Wis Wis again. The campground is closed, but the gate is open. Day use?
