Palouse adventure
Last week Mark Paul and I met up with our guide Chad Ashby for a day of adventure in the Palouse. Mark and I stayed at the Best Western in Moses Lake the night before as we had to meet Chad at 5:30 AM at his house and then drive about an hour and a half to the starting point. It was deer season in the rock creek area we were going to fish and Chad had brought orange vests for us. We started by biking two miles down a gated path and then stashed our bikes in the tall grass. After that we hiked a mile to a waterfall and the fishing began. For the rest of the day we worked our way upstream until we were near our bikes and then road the two miles back to our vehicles for the the long ride home. Fishing was Ok but we did see some bigger fish that were spooked and not biting in the lower water level. Beautiful country and we saw Mule deer and plenty of pheasant. Chad showed us some photos of very big browns and rainbows taken out of the same stretch we were fishing.

Very cool! That looks like a fun time.
