Three Hours at Cady
Tess and I tap-danced between atmospheric rivers Friday morning. We were on the water from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., when the winds and rain started up again. I was spotting fish at several depths. I'd see a school at 6-9 feet, then a string of fish hanging at 16-18, then a few just off the bottom. Water was 43 degrees; the air was in the low 50s, so not so bad. We saw lots of fish on the surface and jumping occasionally but couldn't see any bugs. I imagine the fish were hitting emerging midges before they could take flight. Tess landed three rainbows, the largest being a fat 22-incher. I had four — three rainbows from 12 to 15 inches and one 18-inch cutthroat. Not at all bad for three hours on a December day.

Thanks, Tess and David for your replies.
The pictures indicate Tess needs a bit longer net handle. 😉
