Steelhead Fishing on The OP

LAst meeting I floated the idea of a trip to Forks. This is what I know. Cost of the trip is $2385 + tax and gratuities. The Available days are Feb 9-13, Feb 13-17, and Mar 9-13. This would be all inclusive, meals, lodging for three nights, and guided fishing. The location is the Bogey House. If interested, please contact me.

Cady Makeover Party

Our mighty work party at Cady Lake helped spread 64 tons of fresh gravel, filling over the muddy parking lot, improving the rough grade at the boat launch and the road entrance, covering muddy low spots and generally making the old two-track a lot easier to love.

Kudos to Mark Paul, Mike Koslosky, Steve Saville, Will Matson and Steve Edmondson. Also, a big thank you also to Rick of Peninsula Sand & Gravel, who put in the extra time and expertise to roll out four truckloads of 1.5" minus gravel in some very tight spaces.

Finally, I'd like to congratulate PSFF president Tess Frazier for fulfilling one of her big pledges to help improve the experience for all fly-fishers who visit Cady Lake. Note that the repaired donation box is now adorned with our new signage.

Four truckloads, Wow! That's a lot of raking for the grounds crew in attendance .

I'm anxious to get back to Cady just to see all your hard work. Thanks to all.

Tried making a post again this morning and it won't fly.

Call for Volunteers

We're looking for a few more hands to help raking out gravel at the Cady Lake Parking area. The only tools you should need are a landscape rake and a pair of gloves. Waterproof boots wouldn't hurt.

Please consider car-pooling. The gravel company should be there drag-dumping around 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3. Weather forecast is only 24% chance of rain. High of 55.

You might also consider bringing along your fishing gear for the afterparty.

Please reply here is you'd like to join in or have questions.
